OK Seriously - My name is Holly and I have owned horses for over 20 years. I currently own two horses - Isabella, a bay Hannoverian cross 4 yr old, and Butterscotch (aka Butter the Wonder Pony), a 26 yr old palomino pony. Butter has been with me for 24 of his 26 years. I have been a teaching riding for the past 17 years. Right now I have about 35 students. Most of my students ride English (both dressage and hunter) with a few western trail riders thrown in the mix. Of the ones that own their own horse, almost all are first time horse owners.
Since I spend quite a bit of time giving out tips on horse care and money saving ideas, I thought it was time to put all of that info on the web. In my research I have learned quite a few new tips that I am looking forward to putting into action. I live in Florida, so the keeping warm tips don't apply to me now. However, I haven't always lived in the sunshine state and I feel for you northern riders. I hope these tips help!
